Flu Campaign 2021/22

Where possible, patients that are eligible for both flu and Covid boosters, these will be offered at the same time.

As many of you will remember, last year we held our Flu Clinics at the KCOM (now MKM) Stadium in order to maintain social distancing. These proved to be very successful and we will be doing the same this year, how-ever, the flu clinics will be run by our Primary Care Network Symphonie rather than the Practice in the same way as the COVID vaccination clinics have been run since last year.

Please do not contact the Practice to enquire about the vaccine. You will be contacted in due course. No-one will be excluded and when it’s your turn someone will be in touch with you to book an appointment. Thank you

The Surgery will be closed for staff training on Thursday 14th October from 12.30 onwards.  If during this time you require medical assistance that cannot wait til we reopen the next day at 08.00am, please call 01482 487845.

Please note that no prescription enquiries will be dealt with during this time.

Staff Update

This month the Practice would like to introduce Ben as the newest member of our Reception team.

Ben will frequently be the first point of contact on entering the surgery and will also deal with telephone queries.

Shingles Vaccination

You're eligible for the shingles vaccine if you are aged 70 to 79.

The shingles vaccine is not available on the NHS to anyone aged 80 or over because it seems to be less effective in this age group.

Find out more about who can have the shingles vaccine.
